Entrepreneur Leadership Network contributor Mita Mallick has been there too. Several years ago, she was so unhappy in a job that she started “rage applying” to job after job after job.
Frustrated and angry, she felt so stuck in her career that she was spraying my resume everywhere and praying, applying reactively to any opening she could find online. Because how else could she get unstuck and out of this miserable job if she wasn’t actively looking?
The results?
She was rejected from roles she wasn’t interested in or didn’t have the specific skills to do. She made mistakes on applications and cover letters (one recruiter was kind enough to point out that she had inserted a competitor’s name). She wasn’t prepared for calls with recruiters.
